Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, located approx. 90km from Colombo towards Kandy. It is the most popular and accessible place for an amazing experience to see a large numbers of elephant orphans, baby elephants wondering around their cramped foster home or bottle fed and bathed by their human foster fathers. Most orphans are accustomed to their curious human visitors and are harmless. The baby elephants can be bottle fed by their visitors.
